On March 15, 2024, an officer stopped a vehicle in Parking Lot K 413 for a traffic violation. The suspect fled, attempted to hide in a washroom, and resisted arrest by ignoring commands and struggling against the officer. During the arrest, officers suspected drug-related activity—after a search revealed a Backwoods wrapper containing weed—and noted the presence of a child in the vehicle. Ultimately, the suspect was taken into custody on charges of possession of controlled substances, resisting arrest, and outstanding traffic warrants, while the driver received a warning for a stop bar violation.
