On Friday, January 13, 2023, police were concluding a traffic crash investigation in Oviedo, Florida. The owner of one of the involved vehicles, identified as the suspect, arrived at the scene with her mother and immediately began screaming profanities regarding the damage to her car. Despite attempts by her mother and the officer to de-escalate the situation, the suspect continued to shout vulgarities at the police and other parties involved in the crash, causing traffic to slow down and disrupting the scene. After refusing multiple lawful commands to return to her vehicle, the suspect threw herself to the ground before standing up in an explosive manner, prompting the officer to execute an arm-bar takedown to secure her. She was taken into custody and charged with Resisting an Officer Without Violence and Disorderly Conduct.
