On November 8, 2024, Westfield Police in New Jersey stopped Melissa Hoffman after officers responded to a reported motor-vehicle crash and located a Dodge Durango matching the description. What followed was an unusually animated DUI investigation filled with repeated “Yes, sir” responses, unexpected answers, interrupted field sobriety tests, rapid mood changes, and a memorable “No thank you” when she was asked whether she had been drinking. According to police records reported by Daily Voice, officers noted an odor of alcohol, slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and indicators during standardized field sobriety testing. Hoffman was ultimately cited for driving while intoxicated, refusal to provide breath samples, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report the accident, careless driving, and additional motor-vehicle violations. The final court disposition was not independently verified as of this production.
