Around midnight on June 22, 2016, Basilea Mena and her boyfriend were walking home from a Tucson bar, arguing about a text message, when three Tucson police officers rolled up on them. Within three minutes, the 5'5", 120-pound Mena was handcuffed and shoved face-first into a palm tree by Officer Robert Massie, 6'2" and 225 pounds.
