Police stop a vehicle after witnessing the driver drink from a small liquor bottle while driving erratically. The officer reports seeing her tilt her head back, swallow the alcohol, and then attempt to hide the bottle. During the traffic stop, she becomes argumentative, refuses commands, and denies having an open container despite visible evidence and the strong odor of alcohol. When officers ask her to exit the vehicle, she resists and strikes an officer, leading to her arrest. The driver continues fighting, accuses police of misconduct, and refuses to cooperate with field sobriety exercises and breath testing. She is charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, DUI second offense, and refusal to submit to testing. She is later convicted and sentenced to two years of state probation.
