On August 23, 2025, Aurora police tried to stop a stolen Chevy van after license plate cameras flagged it, but the driver ran, leading officers on a chase through the city. A flat tire finally stopped the van, and the driver, 34-year-old John Raspitha, refused to get out at first, even pausing to smoke before giving up. Police found stolen credit cards and IDs inside the van, and Raspitha now faces charges including vehicle theft, eluding police, and possession of stolen financial cards. #shorts #dashcam #bodycam #police #cops
