Dash camera footage captures a late-night traffic stop in Stuart, Florida after a police officer observes a vehicle accelerating from a red light and driving erratically along a busy roadway. According to the police report, the vehicle rapidly gained speed, changed lanes without signaling, and failed to maintain a single lane while traveling northbound toward the Roosevelt Bridge. As the driving behavior continued, the officer paced the vehicle at approximately 100 miles per hour. Due to public safety concerns, emergency lights were activated and the vehicle was stopped. The driver was identified at the scene, and the officer noted observations consistent with impairment during the encounter. The driver declined to answer questions and did not participate in roadside sobriety tasks. After being taken into custody, she continued to refuse to cooperate during the DUI process, including the required observation period and breath testing. The refusal was documented as part of the arrest. Court records show the case was filed as a criminal traffic matter and included charges for dangerous excessive speeding, driving under the influence, and refusal to submit to testing. Additional traffic citations related to lane violations, signaling, and driving behavior were also issued in connection with the stop. Following booking, the driver was released on bond.
