Officers responded to a fight and spoke with security personnel, who reported that four females were refusing to leave the bar as it was closing. Despite being escorted outside, the females attempted to push past staff to re-enter the bar. Upon arrival, officers observed one female on the ground and another female sitting on the hood of a vehicle, screaming at the officers. The female in the vehicle was later identified as Nyaire Shelton. As officers attempted to assist the female on the ground, Shelton got out of the vehicle, screamed at the officers, and tried to help her friend stand up. Officers warned Shelton about her disorderly behavior and informed her that she would be arrested if she continued. Shelton and the other females claimed that the security guard had assaulted the female on the ground, but officers found no signs of injury. Despite multiple offers of EMS treatment, the female on the ground refused assistance. Officers instructed the females to leave the property, but Shelton began screaming at them again. When she aggressively approached an officer while yelling, she was warned of potential arrest for causing a disturbance. Shelton persisted, leading to her arrest for disorderly conduct/intoxication.
