On January 19, 2026, Rio Rancho Police Officers responded to a disturbance call. The caller indicated that a woman had entered a red Ford SUV and had crashed into another vehicle while attempting to drive off. Officers arrived and removed the 23-year-old from behind the wheel. She performed field sobriety testing and was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence (DWI). At the police station, she provided two breath samples, which registered 0.29% and 0.31% BAC. The police report indicates she was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and blew as high as 0.34% BAC at the hospital. She was eventually medically cleared to be booked into the County Jail. Her charge and the outcome of her case is discussed at the end of the video.
