The vehicle was speeding 60 mph in a 50 mph zone. As I initiated a traffic stop, the vehicle increased its speed. I informed Troop F Dispatch that I was (1037) in pursuit of that vehicle. I gave dispatch the description of the suspect vehicle, the current speed, and the reason for the stop. The suspect vehicle traveled approximately 2 miles before turning left on Ouachita County Road 7. The suspect vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed for approximately 3 miles before turning left onto Ouachita County Road 134. The suspect vehicle traveled approximately .5 miles before turning right onto Ouachita County Road 3. After traveling approximately 1 mile, the suspect vehicle then turned right on Ouachita County Road 7. The suspect vehicle traveled approximately 4 miles before turning left on Ouachita County Road 2. After traveling approximately 2 miles, the suspect vehicle turned right on Ouachita County Road 53. The suspect vehicle traveled approximately 4 miles before turning right on Ouachita County Road 51. After traveling approximately 4 miles, the suspect vehicle became disabled on the unmaintained part of Ouachita County Road 51. The suspect vehicle came to a stop in large water retaining muddy area. The driver, a white male fled on foot running east into a wooded area.
