On January 13, 2024, Farmington Police Officer Johnson was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a closed business. He turned his patrol vehicle around and pulled up behind the vehicle, which was occupied by a 26-year-old woman and her 2-year-old daughter. The woman gave inconsistent answers about her reason for being in the parking lot. Officer Johnson indicated that he could smell alcohol on the breath of the woman, but she denied consuming alcohol. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which concluded with her being placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence. At the police station, she submitted two breath samples and the results were 0.23% and 0.22% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
