On July 6th, 2022, officers responded to reports of a suspicious individual walking through a residential neighborhood after residents observed a man taking photos of homes and video chatting while moving through the area. Concerned neighbors contacted authorities to report the behavior. When officers made contact, the man became verbally confrontational and admitted to taking photos of houses. He repeatedly refused to identify himself, accused officers of targeting him, and attempted to walk away while officers were actively investigating the call. As additional officers arrived, the situation escalated. The man continued shouting, ignored repeated commands to stop, and stepped aggressively into officers’ personal space. When officers attempted to detain him, he stiffened his body, pulled away, and assumed a combative stance before being restrained. The encounter resulted in charges related to Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing a Peace Officer.
