On July 17, 2025, deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to Miller’s Ale House in Palm Coast, Florida, after a caller reported a woman slumped over the steering wheel of a running Porsche. Deputies identified the driver as 58-year-old Karen Kersten and reported glassy eyes, slurred speech, and difficulty cooperating. Kersten repeatedly refused to provide identification or exit the vehicle despite multiple warnings. Deputies eventually removed her from the Porsche and placed her under arrest after she continued pulling her arms away. At the inmate facility, Kersten refused field sobriety exercises and declined to provide a breath sample after being read Florida’s implied-consent warning. She was charged with driving under the influence and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence. Subscribe for real police bodycam footage and DUI arrest encounters.
