On March 19, 2024, Johns Creek Police officers rushed to a terrifying single-vehicle crash on Knollcrest Boulevard. A 2023 Range Rover had flipped onto its side, sparking a grass fire on a front lawn as flames spread toward the cabin. Officer Weinrich arrived first and found a woman trapped inside the burning vehicle. Using his fire extinguisher to push back the flames, he smashed through the sunroof and, with the help of another officer, pulled the woman out just seconds before the car could explode. The woman — identified as Alka — was found with a mostly empty bottle of Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio between her legs. She later admitted to drinking alcohol before driving. Investigators determined she had driven in reverse at high speed, striking a streetlight, a Georgia Power electrical box, multiple mailboxes, and a raised flower bed before the SUV rolled onto its side and caught fire. Alka was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and officers who helped rescue her were treated for lacerations from the shattered glass. She now faces multiple charges, including DUI – Less Safe – Alcohol, Reckless Driving, and Open Container Violation. ⚠️ Watch the full bodycam footage as officers fight flames and risk their lives to save a trapped drunk driver from her burning SUV. 📌 Hashtags #Bodycam #PoliceRescue #DUI #CarCrash #BurningCar #PoliceFootage #RangeRoverCrash #DrunkDriving #FireRescue #TrafficAccident #PoliceBodycam #RealPolice #IntenseRescue #CrashSurvivor #OfficerHero #JohnsCreekPolice -------------- About Us / Disclaimer: Real World Police provides unbiased and authentic footage of incidents captured on body cams.
