Cleveland, Ohio -- Deputies with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office were assisting the Cleveland DEA office with a search warrant on an unrelated male. While conducting the search, deputies noticed a female drive by the residence. Deputies know that this female was the girlfriend of the suspect they had a search warrant for. Deputies pulled over the female and asked her to exit the vehicle. According to the report, a deputy was going to have their K-9 perform an open air sniff on the vehicle. The female decided not to listen to the deputy. The deputy then broke her window and placed her under arrest. The female was taken to the hospital to be evaluated due to the broken glass and claiming to be pregnant. When they got back to their car, deputies noticed a bag of 45 grams of meth was located in the backseat of the patrol car, the same seat the female was sitting in. The female, later identified as Ms. Kayla Healy, was charged with the following: - Driving under OVI suspension (Municipal Court) - Marked Lanes (Municipal Court) - Trafficking Offense (Common Pleas) - Drug Possession (Common Pleas) - Possession Criminal Tools (Common Pleas) - Resisting Arrest (Common Pleas) For her municipal court charges, she failed to appear and a warrant was issued. For her common pleas charges, a plea agreement was reached where the trafficking and possession of criminal charges were dropped. Her drug possession charge was modified so the weight of the drugs found was reduced. Her sentence: - 3 days in jail with 3 days credited - 1.5 years probation - Three consecutive negative drug tests If she is found to violate any of her probation terms, she is to be sent back to jail for 11 months. ⚠️ Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) ⚠️
