On May 2–3, 2026, what started as a routine patrol near Chicot Road quickly escalated into a dangerous high-speed pursuit through Saline and Pulaski Counties. Deputies attempted to stop a blue Nissan 350Z after it nearly struck a patrol unit while leaving the La Herradura parking lot. Instead of stopping, the driver fled — spinning out, making aggressive U-turns, and accelerating into traffic. During the pursuit, the suspect: * Reached speeds over 100 MPH * Turned off headlights and taillights to avoid detection * Drove into oncoming traffic, nearly causing multiple head-on collisions * Ran red lights and passed vehicles in the wrong lane After briefly losing sight of the vehicle as it drove “blacked out,” deputies and assisting units relocated it still driving recklessly. The pursuit resumed until Arkansas State Police performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) on Baseline Road, bringing the chase to an end. The driver, identified as Marco Antonio Garcia, was taken into custody without further incident.
