19:46 Start of Bonus Footage showing what led up to Tifanie's arrest. On July 22, 2024, an elderly man called the Las Cruces Police Department to report that his wife's BMW 740iL was stolen at gunpoint. According to the man, just after midnight, a woman knocked on the front door. She allegedly said she was asked by a friend of the man to conduct a welfare check on him and his wife. Even though the man had never met this woman before, he let her in his house in the middle of night. While they were talking, the man claims he heard a noise coming from his backyard. He grabbed a handgun and went outside to investigate. When he came back inside and laid the gun on a table, the woman grabbed the gun and told the man she was stealing his BMW. That afternoon, the police located the BMW in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Units set up surveillance using undercover vehicles. When a woman came out and entered the BMW, K9 Officer Appelzoller approached the BMW. She then fled on foot. Officer Appelzoller released his canine and it didn't take long for the dog to apprehend the 22-year-old woman. She received major dog bites that required a trip to the emergency room. She was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
