#news #police #arrest #cops Another DUI crash: https://youtu.be/K4AnQ9zyyqY Offenses: DUI - Adult beverages - Less Safe Failure to Maintain Lane/Improper Driving on Road Report: On 02/04/2022, Officer responded to the area of Jefferson Rd where it intersects with Camak Dr in reference to a vehicle in a ditch. A passerby had called in to report that a Jeep was off in a ditch and the driver had asked her to help them out of the vehicle. Neither the driver or passenger had called for police. Officer arrived on scene and located the Jeep facing southbound in the ditch between Jefferson Rd and the train tracks. The vehicle was traveling north on Jefferson Rd when it failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway where it struck the culvert for Camak Dr. The vehicle then continued to travel over Camak Dr while spinning until it rest in the Ditch North of Camak Dr. Both the driver and passenger were still in the car, in their seats when officers arrived. Officer made contact with the driver, Daisy Aguilar-Gonzales, who advised and could not get the car out of the ditch. She then proceeded to try to start it multiple times despite an entire wheel/hub/suspension assembly being completely severed from the vehicle and the rest of the vehicle severely damaged. Front airbags were deployed in multiple directions, and both driver and passenger doors were unable to open. Her mother also arrived on scene to pick her up, but again, they had not called police. As officer spoke with Gonzalez, the odor of alcoholic beverages was strong and radiating from her person. Her speech was slurred and she stated that she was coming from downtown where she had a few drinks. Fire arrived and assisted in getting Gonzalez, and her passenger Joanna, Out of the vehicle. When Gonzalez exited the vehicle, she stumbled and struggled to stay upright while walking at first. She was assisted into the ambulance to get out of the rain, where he asked her roughly how long she was downtown for. She stated that we're downtown drinking roughly an hour before she attempted to drive home (it was now roughly 3am on 02/04/2022). When asked what they were drinking, Gonzalez stated that they were mixed drinks that boys had bought them. At this time, Officer asked Gonzalez if she would like to complete a series of field sobriety test. Gonzalez did not answer. Because of this, I placed her under arrest for DUI alcohol, less safe and read implied consent for blood. Gonzalez consented for blood test kit and was transported by the officer to PARMC handcuffed (DL,BB). While at PARMC, Gonzalez completed the blood test kit and was cleared for the jail. She had complaints of pain from the seatbelt and airbag rash, (redacted) while at the hospital, Gonzalez also asked several times to use the bathroom, so officer allowed her to use it while we waited (redacted). While at the hospital, Gonzalez made comments that the test was going to come back positive for having alcohol in her system and that she was okay as long as her and Rodriguez were still alive. Gonzales also stated several times that she was sorry (redacted) Once cleared from the hospital, Gonzalez was transported to the Clarke County Jail and turned over to the Clarke County Sheriff without incident (back seat checked). A search of the vehicle did not reveal any intoxicates. Incident recorded on Axon, but officers camera malfunctioned due to the rain. Officer borrowed another camera when he arrived at the hospital to record the rest of the incident.
