An officer runs out of tickets. A gas stop ends in handcuffs. His own bodycam later becomes part of the firing story. Educational only — not legal advice. Laws vary by state. Comply physically, assert your rights verbally, and preserve evidence for review. Christopher Shull’s April 19, 2023 encounter with Officer Scott Harrell at Buc-ee’s in Texas City moves from a disputed parking-lot maneuver to handcuffs, a complaint remark, and release with a citation. Brad examines the officer’s stated reasons, Shull’s response, and the limits of what this recording proves. Chief Landis Cravens announced Harrell’s termination effective September 1, 2023, and disclosed an appeal notice the next day. The final appeal result has not been verified here. KPRC reported that Shull’s citation was dismissed. No damages award, conviction, or permanent policing ban is claimed.
