SAR POSSE RESCUES FREEZING HIKERS On Saturday 1/23, two individuals found themselves lost while hiking Picket Post Mountain. That night, temperatures dropped to 45 degrees. The hikers took shelter under some trees, but in the morning it began to rain, and both started feeling the effects of exposure. They called 911 and PCSO Search and Rescue responded aided by the SAR Posse. Both were flown to safety. "This is just one example of the many rescues our Search and Rescue Posse goes on," said Sheriff Mark Lamb. "Their help is crucial to our success finding injured or stranded hikers." If you love the outdoors and have a desire to help people, the SAR Posse needs volunteers. Apply here: https://bit.ly/2NIRd8f
