On April 10th, 2024, officers in Ohio responded to a report of two individuals refusing to leave a hotel lobby. Upon arrival, officers found the two suspects matching the description given by the caller. The officers informed the suspects that they needed to leave the premises and identify themselves as requested by the business manager. One suspect cooperated and provided their identification, while the other suspect refused to comply and appeared visibly agitated. Both individuals seemed to be intoxicated. The situation escalated when the agitated suspect continued to resist officers' attempts to communicate, prompting the officers to call for additional units. As the officers attempted to arrest the uncooperative suspect, the second suspect intervened, positioning themselves between the officers and the agitated individual. The second suspect continued interfering despite multiple warnings and was subsequently taken into custody. Both suspects actively resisted arrest, with one suspect pulling away and tensing their arms to avoid being handcuffed. Medical personnel assessed both suspects on the scene and found no injuries requiring medical attention. The suspects were informed they were banned from the hotel and transported to the local county jail. The male suspect was charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Official Business, Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, and Unauthorized Personal Disclosure.
