On August 22, 2024, concerned citizens called the University of Central Florida police department to conduct a welfare check on a woman who was slumped over behind the wheel. Officer Little and Guerrero arrived and were able to wake the 29-year-old woman up. She explained that she was involved in an accident a few days prior and was driving a rental car and got lost. She also stated she is a teacher and was sent home from work because she was upset after having issues with her boyfriend. She admitted to drinking White Claws the night before and stated she had not consumed any alcohol since going to bed the night before. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was eventually arrested for DUI. The police report indicates she submitted 2 breath samples at the Orange County DUI Center and the results were 0.35% and 0.359% BAC. The police report also indicates she had a prior DUI arrest in 2014. She was charged with DUI and her case remains open. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
