Bodycam footage from Nashville International Airport (BNA) shows the chaotic arrest of a woman, identified as Kearn, after she allegedly went on a rampage through the terminal, culminating in an unprovoked attack on an elderly woman. Airport police were initially called to a restaurant regarding a fight on September 21, 2023. Upon arrival, officers began an investigation that uncovered a series of disturbances. Witnesses reported that Kearn had vandalized multiple businesses, spat on another traveler, and then violently struck a senior citizen in the face with a closed fist, causing a minor laceration. Fellow passengers, who captured the assault on their own phones, showed the footage to police as evidence. After a ten-minute search, officers located Kearn sitting calmly in a waiting area near a departure gate. When they approached to take her into custody for disorderly conduct, she immediately became non-compliant and physically resisted. The bodycam footage captures the intense struggle as multiple officers were needed to secure her in handcuffs and eventually a restraint chair. She was ultimately charged with Elder Abuse, Assaulting a First Responder, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Vandalism.
