On January 13, 2024. The Dodgeville Police Department received a call from the Iowa County Highway Department, they had reported a skid steer pushing snow into the street. An officer responded and located a skid steer on a trailer. The officer spoke with a man later identified as Jack and asked him if he had been the one that pushed the snow into the street. Jack confirmed that he had pushed the snow into the roadway. The officer told him to remove the snow from the road and Jack responded, “No, the city pushes that back into the sidewalk every ******* time I clear that out. **** you.” The officer asked Jack what his name was so he could issue him a citation, and he refused to give his name. Jack said he was not breaking the law and asked what he did wrong. The officer said that it's against city ordinances to put snow in the streets after they have been plowed. Jack and another man stated that the city just plows the snow back onto the sidewalk. After speaking with Jack for a while, the officer recognized him from other previous contacts. Jack was found guilty for Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Deposit Ice/Snow on Public or Private Property. He was ordered to pay $464 in fines. This video is for educational purposes only.
