On March 7, 2025, St. Charles Police Officer Phillips observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of traffic lanes. He made contact with the 25-year-old woman behind the wheel. After she admitted to drinking two beers, she was asked to recite the English alphabet and count backwards. When she was unable to satisfactorily perform those exercises, she was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. Those tests were also performed poorly and the woman was arrested for DUI. Her breath alcohol concentration was not revealed, but she was charged with DUI and improperly lane usage. Her next court date is June 11, 2025, and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
