On July 12, 2024, Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Sandlin responded to a single vehicle rollover accident. When he arrived on scene, fire personnel had assisted the 18-year-old driver out of the flipped vehicle. Her grandfather had also arrived on scene and the woman was sitting in the passenger seat of his vehicle. Trooper Sandlin interviewed the woman, who admitted that she had consumed alcohol. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which included a portable breath test (BAC). The PBT result was 0.054% BAC. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Miami Township Police Station for an evidential breath test. The result of that breath test was 0.116% BAC. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
