A 2014 Chevy sedan flew by southbound at 82 mph in a 55 zone. He hit his lights for a stop. The car pulled over on the road. Rodriguez reached the driver, Anastasiya Shelekhovska. He smelled booze while they talked. He spotted clues of drunk driving. She said she left a friend's place in Bloomfield to head home. Sergeant Timothy McMahon pulled up to help. He caught the alcohol whiff too. Anastasiya owned up to sangria that night. Cops grew sure she was impaired. They had her step out for sobriety checks. McMahon led off with the eye test, Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus. Four of six signs showed up. Walk-and-Turn came next. She skipped heel-to-toe touches. Turn went wrong. Arms swung free. One-Leg Stand followed. Her foot dropped early. Balance failed. Her wild speed, the smell, her drink confession, bad tests—all added up. Officers cuffed her for DUI. Into the patrol car she went. They towed her Chevy for a 12-hour hold under John's Law. Rodriguez drove her to South Brunswick PD for a breath test. There, they read her the operator statement. She said yes to samples. Officer Raymond McCarthy worked the Alcotest. It clocked her at 0.05% BAC—above zero, below 0.08. They hauled her back to Plainsboro to wrap paperwork. Released to kin after they signed her liability notice. Cops gave her tickets for: Operating under influence. Reckless driving. Speeding. Court logs show December 13, 2023: DUI and speeding dropped. She took the reckless plea. License yanked 30 days. Fines hit $240. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
