Albuquerque mounted officers were on patrol when they were alerted to a fleeing shoplifting suspect running through the streets. According to Sgt. Breeden, the horses had just come off their trailer for a pedestrian-safety operation when the pursuit began. Body-worn camera footage shows how the mounted unit used their elevated vantage point, silent approach, and unmatched mobility to track down the suspect as he darted and zig-zagged through traffic. Officers eventually closed in and arrested the man without further incident. Police say he now faces multiple charges, including shoplifting, resisting an officer, concealing identity, and interfering with a police investigation. This video highlights the unique effectiveness of mounted police units—combining old-world tactics with modern technology. 👉 For more real police encounters and unfiltered bodycam footage, don’t forget to subscribe and join the channel for exclusive behind-the-scenes content. #bodycam #mountedpolice #policefootage
