On February 10, 2025, an anonymous caller reported that she had been threatened by a woman waiting in a gold vehicle in the parking lot of the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Deputy Ford arrived and found the 30-year-old woman who was the subject of the call. The police report indicates that Deputy Ford could smell alcohol coming from the breath of the woman. As a result, she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. After the tests were completed, the woman was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence (DWI). She was transported across the parking lot to the Sheriff's Office. She was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Law, but refused to submit to a breath test. Her charge was subsequently elevated to Aggravated DWI. However, the next day the prosecutor dismissed the charge without prejudice.
