On August 21, 2024, Roswell Police Officer Willis stopped a vehicle for allegedly having a partially illegible license plate. The vehicle was being driven by a 35-year-old man, whose driver's license was suspended from a previous DUI conviction. He was also required to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed on any vehicle that he drives. As a result, Officer Willis placed the man under arrest and handcuffed him. However, the man would not allow himself to be searched. Once at the police station, the man refused to exit the back of the police vehicle. He was forcibly removed and placed in The Wrap restraint device. He was charged with Driving While License Revoked (DWI Related), Resisting Arrest, and Driving with an Illegible License Plate. On March 10, 2025, all of the charges were dismissed by the prosecutor without prejudice.
