The bodycam opens during what should have been a routine traffic enforcement when an officer steps into the roadway to stop a motorcycle that had run a red light. Instead of slowing down, the rider accelerates, striking the officer and fleeing the scene. Officers immediately request medical assistance as witnesses describe a black motorcycle carrying a man and a woman, both without helmets. Police begin canvassing nearby streets, though witness accounts vary on the motorcycle’s exact color and direction of travel. Minutes later, officers locate a motorcycle matching the description. Before a traffic stop can be safely completed, the motorcycle crashes into multiple vehicles. The female passenger is thrown from the bike and suffers serious injuries. According to police, witness statements, bodycam footage, and clothing descriptions all matched the earlier hit-and-run involving the officer. The male rider was arrested after receiving hospital treatment and now faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer. The investigation remains ongoing. The defense has not yet presented its case. --- ⚠️ DISCLAIMER This video is shared for educational, documentary, and public awareness purposes only.
