On 05/07/2026 at 7:23 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot on a report of shoplifting. It was reported to the police that the individual involved had fled the store prior to police's arrival. The involved party was located walking in the area of Paterson Plank Road and Union Turnpike. The involved party then fled from the police. After a brief foot pursuit, the police took into custody a 53-year-old male for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. He was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00, and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Linden, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. He was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
