Bodycam: a missing license plate ended with a wrecked gas pump, two rammed police cruisers, and a K9 search under a deck. Connecticut State Police say troopers spotted a black Subaru Legacy on Route 2 in Bozrah with no front plate, failing to hold its lane. A records check returned an active arrest warrant tied to a pursuit the week before. Troopers followed the car to a gas station on Route 97 in Norwich and used a box-in technique at the pumps. When the driver refused to get out, troopers breached a rear window. Police say she then accelerated into a state police cruiser, reversed into a fuel pump, rammed a second cruiser, and left the lot — leading a pursuit onto I-395 that ended against a guardrail on Strnad Road in Lisbon. Officers located her under the deck of a nearby home with the help of a K-9 team, along with suspected narcotic bundles and paraphernalia. She was taken to a hospital for evaluation. No troopers or civilians were injured. Electra Chiulli, 33, of Old Saybrook was charged with 11 counts, including criminal attempt at assault on a public safety officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, three counts of first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of interfering with an officer, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, evading responsibility, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held on a $500,000 bond. All charges are allegations. No conviction has been reported, and every person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
