Deputies in Central Illinois respond to a residence after a violent domestic dispute breaks out between a disabled man and his live-in caregiver—who is also his romantic partner. When sheriff’s deputies arrive on scene, they find a highly uncooperative woman. The suspect unleashes an endless series of excuses, delays, and lectures about "respect," testing the deputies' patience at every turn. From barricading herself in a bedroom to making surreal personal requests before transport, her refusal to accept the reality of the situation turns a domestic investigation into a baffling standoff.
