On February 16, 2024. Officers from the Green Bay Police Department were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident where one of the vehicles had fled the scene. An officer arrived on scene and made contact with the victim Luis who stated that he had been traveling down the road when a red Toyota unsafely backed out of their driveway into the street, crashing into the passenger side of his truck. He said a Hispanic female later identified as (Yohanny) in her 30 's/40's got out of the driver's seat and said they could settle it between them. Luis told the female driver that he was going to call the police. The female did not want police involved so she got back into the driver 's seat and took off. Luis had damage to his truck and said the female driver did not offer any information to him before she took off. Luis did not wish to give a written statement and gave a verbal statement instead. The red Toyota was back in the driveway of the residence that Luis had reported and officers went to the house to speak with Yohanny. Officers knocked multiple times on the front door and the window's before Yohanny finally answered. She admitted to being the driver during the accident but accused Luis of driving too fast down the street, which caused her to back into him. Yohanny said she left because she had to get her daughter to school and that she did not have insurance on the vehicle. Yohanny was found guilty for “Hit and Run, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping”. She was sentenced to 6 months in jail, 18 months of probation, and ordered to pay $1314 in fines. This video is for educational purposes only.
