An Antioch police officer became the hostage in his own arrest when an armed robbery suspect grabbed him, yanked him into the moving vehicle, and floored it with the cop trapped inside. It was 5:16 AM in Antioch, California. Officers responded to a robbery in progress at a FoodMaxx parking lot, where the suspect was reportedly armed. When police arrived, the suspect rammed his vehicle into a patrol car. As one officer approached the driver's side, a struggle broke out, and in a split second, the officer was pulled into the suspect's car as he sped off. The car smashed into another patrol car, slammed into the front of the store, and kept accelerating with the officer trapped inside. The officer gave command after command for the driver to stop. He didn't. With seconds left and no other option, the officer made a choice that ended the chase. What happens next is something every cop trains for but hopes they never face. ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This footage is shared for educational and informational purposes only.
