On March 5, 2025, Rio Rancho Police Officer Roskos responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a wall. When he arrived to the call, witnesses reported an elderly woman driving erratically, hitting a brick wall, and then falling to the ground as she exited her vehicle with a young child. Officer Roskos located the woman who admitted to driving drunk. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor. She was transported to the Rio Rancho Police Station, where she submitted to a breath test. The two samples registered 0.10% and 0.09% BAC. She was also charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Minor in the Vehicle. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
