A dispute over Brillo pads at a Chevron gas station quickly escalated into a parking lot fight—and the chaos didn’t end when police arrived. On August 20, 2021, Clarkston Police responded to the Chevron on Montreal Road after a store clerk reported being attacked by a customer. According to the police report, the confrontation began when the store didn’t carry several items the customer requested, including Brillo pads. Police say merchandise was knocked from the counter before the disagreement moved outside, where a cup was allegedly thrown and a physical fight broke out. An eyewitness captured part of the altercation on a cellphone. Using witness statements and a photograph taken by the clerk, officers located the woman they believed was involved. But taking her into custody would become another situation entirely. This episode features police body-camera footage from the Clarkston Police Department in Georgia.
