A routine warrant arrest in Sarasota turned violent in seconds — and by the end, one officer was in the hospital with a bite wound to her hand.This full police bodycam footage shows the arrest of 36-year-old Darrell Williams, wanted on warrants for aggravated battery on a pregnant woman and armed robbery. Officers located him at an Express Grocery on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and moved in to take him into custody. What followed was a struggle that left a female officer bitten so badly she needed stitches at Sarasota Memorial Hospital — and a second officer spat on as police tried to get him into the patrol vehicle.Williams was arrested and later found guilty of domestic battery and witness coercion.
