Police Case Summary – July 11, 2025 Date & Time: July 11, 2025 – 7:14 PM Location: 96 Manning Pl, Keansburg, NJ Incident Type: Traffic Stop Officers Involved: Sheehan, Mi; Jankowski, C; MacDonald, H; Lambe, R; Figaro, C; Valle, Andrew What Happened Keansburg Police conducted a traffic stop on a silver Cadillac after noticing suspicious activity. Inside the vehicle were William A. Dowdell (from Parlin, NJ) and Shelley A. Roberts (from Carteret, NJ). During the stop: Officers found expired paperwork and requested a K9 unit to search the car. Narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Shelley Roberts was found to have three active warrants from Carteret, East Brunswick, and Woodbridge. Charges Filed Both William Dowdell and Shelley Roberts were charged with: Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) – multiple counts Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – multiple counts Aftermath Both suspects were taken to police headquarters. The car was impounded by a towing service.
