Newly obtained court material has revealed further details in the case of a Sydney-based masseur, Steven Goldberg, who was convicted in the NSW District Court of sexual intercourse without consent and sexual touching without consent. The complainant had booked the massage after hearing it discussed on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show, where the treatment was described as an intense emotional experience. This report examines evidence presented to the court, including body-worn camera footage of the arrest, a recorded phone call between the complainant and Goldberg, and excerpts from his police interview. The footage captures the moment detectives attended his Dover Heights clinic, where he was in the middle of performing a massage before being taken into custody. Court documents and the victim impact statement outline the lasting psychological, physical, and financial impact of the offence, as well as the breach of trust within a professional setting.
