Once again we've arrested an associate of the Georgia prison scam ring that continues to target victims all over the country. Fortunately, in this case we were able to recover about $12K of the $15K a DeLand woman paid in Bitcoin. More arrests to come. It would be nice if the Georgia Department of Corrections would wake up and put a stop to this. In the meantime the VSO Financial Crimes Unit will keep doing everything they can.
