What started as a routine boat safety inspection in Sarasota Bay, Florida quickly turned into a heartwarming and unforgettable marriage proposal — all caught on police body cam video. On March 14, Sarasota Police Department Marine Patrol Officer Michael Skinner stopped a boat for what seemed like a random safety check during National Safe Boating Week. The boat operator, Glenn Kennedy, played along perfectly, answering questions about life jackets, whistles, and safety gear — but he was hiding a big surprise. As the inspection wrapped up, Officer Skinner said, "Safety is very, very crucial out here on the waterways, but I think sometimes also making memories as well. So one thing Mr. Kennedy, you’re going to be required to do before I leave is present Deborah with a ring." In that moment, Deborah — completely shocked — dropped to her knees. And yes… she said YES! The Sarasota Police Department is sharing this wholesome video not just to celebrate love, but also to remind boaters to always be prepared, know your safety equipment, and understand boating laws. Whether you’re out for a romantic cruise or a fishing trip, boating safety saves lives. This emotional and lighthearted proposal at sea proves that love and safety can go hand-in-hand. 📍 Location: Sarasota Bay, Florida 🚤 Date: March 14, 2024 🎥 Footage: Official Sarasota Police Department body camera 🔔 Subscribe for more viral police bodycam footage, real arrests, and breakdowns of law enforcement encounters from across the U.S. 👍 Like, Comment, and Share to support the channel and help us continue bringing you real, unfiltered police footage.
