Three PIT maneuvers were attempted — the first two failed. After striking spike strips, Simpson continued onto Highway 138 before a third PIT maneuver brought the Jeep to a stop. He was taken into custody without further incident. Charges for Tyler Simpson include: Theft by Taking – Motor Vehicle Fleeing from Police Officer Reckless Driving Failure to Maintain Lane / Improper Lane Change Driving Without a Valid License Simpson admitted he was already on probation for a similar offense. Following consultation with a judge, he was transported to the Marta K. Glaze Regional Youth Detention Center. 📌 Status: Case is still pending in court.
