Deputies thought it was a hostage situation. It was the driver's own 14-year-old daughter. On July 20, 2023, a Webster Police officer tried to stop a blue Toyota Corolla on Bay Area Boulevard in southeast Houston, Texas, for a defective tail lamp. The driver, 35-year-old Tenescha Henry, kept going. Deputies with the Harris County Constable's Office, Precinct 8, took over the pursuit, which reached speeds over 100 mph and included wrong-way driving on the Gulf Freeway service road and Airport Boulevard. It ended roughly 25 miles later, when the car ran out of gas in a parking lot off Cullen Boulevard.
