It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: A call came in to Colts Neck Police on August 15, 2024. It was nearly 10 PM. Someone reported a car driving the wrong way. It was on Route 34 near Conover Road. Patrolman Clint Forgach was heading north. He saw a car coming south on Route 34. It was an older sedan. He made a U-turn to follow it. The car was a 1994 Honda Accord. After they passed the Route 18 overpass, he saw the car swerve. He decided to pull it over. The Honda pulled onto the shoulder. Patrolman Forgach approached the driver. It was Jessica Alvarez. He spoke with her. He smelled alcohol. She seemed unsteady. She also struggled to find her papers. He suspected she was impaired. He called for backup. Patrolman Niall Centofanti and Sergeant Daniel Mazzucola soon arrived. They asked Jessica to get out. She then performed field sobriety tests. Sergeant Mazzucola started the eye test. Patrolman Forgach handled the next test. It was called the Walk and Turn. Jessica could not follow instructions. The test was stopped. The last test was the One Leg Stand. She failed this test too. Jessica showed signs of impairment. The smell of alcohol was strong. She admitted drinking earlier. She could not complete the tests. Based on this, she was arrested. She was charged with drunk driving. Her car was towed. It would be held for 12 hours. This is under John’s Law. Patrolman Forgach took her to the police station. She was processed there. The Standard Statement was read. She first said she would give breath samples. But after 20 minutes of watching her, she refused. She was then charged with refusal. Her paperwork was completed. Jessica was then released. A sober adult took her. She was to appear in court. Patrolman Forgach gave her tickets for: Drunk driving. Reckless driving. Refusing a breath test. Not consenting to samples. Driving outside marked lanes. Court documents show Jessica was found guilty. This was on December 20, 2024. She was convicted of drunk driving. As a penalty, she had to use an ignition interlock device. This was for 3 months. She also spent 12 hours in a program for drunk drivers. She paid $690 in fines. The other four tickets were dismissed. This was part of a plea deal. 1:48 from the beginning of the stop, we see her trying to take control 51:53 and she’s racist! What a wonderful lady.
