On June 30th, 2024, a woman at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, attempted to steal an $82 Jurassic Park backpack. After being caught on camera, she was escorted to security, where what should have been a simple apology turned into a chaotic meltdown. She lied profusely, denied taking the backpack, and screamed about her purse and phone, despite having stolen the item. As officers tried to arrest her, she escalated the situation by accusing them of racism and resisting arrest. Her refusal to take responsibility for her actions led to charges of petty theft and resisting without violence. She was later sentenced to pay fines and court costs totaling over $2,000.
