Description

REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage captures the critical moment when officers discover multiple controlled substances in the glove box of a vehicle abandoned during a drug trafficking pursuit in La Crosse. This bodycam video documents the methodical evidence collection that transforms a simple traffic stop into a major narcotics case.

In this police bodycam footage, officers are examining the contents of a glove compartment in a vehicle abandoned on a snowy La Crosse street following a pursuit. One officer provides a concise inventory of the narcotics discovered: "It, it was- Meth and coke." This straightforward evidence identification, captured on the bodycam, establishes the presence of multiple controlled substances that will form the basis for serious trafficking charges.

An officer notes the vehicle's condition: "It looked a little goofy. It's, it's just beat up." This observation about the vehicle's appearance, recorded on police bodycam, may indicate attempts to conceal its use in drug distribution or simply reflect the low-profile vehicles often employed in trafficking operations.

The evidence discovery continues with an officer indicating a specific location: "There's your coke there." This direct identification of cocaine, documented on bodycam, represents a significant evidentiary finding. The inventory extends to additional narcotics found on the female passenger: "She's got, uh, weed in her crotch." This discovery of marijuana concealed on the woman's person, captured on police bodycam, suggests deliberate efforts to hide evidence during the stop and subsequent pursuit.

Another officer responds with a simple appreciation for the thorough search: "Nice." This brief acknowledgment, recorded on bodycam, reflects professional satisfaction with the comprehensive evidence recovery that will strengthen the case against the suspected drug trafficker.

According to police reports, this February 3, 2023 incident began when an inmate informant arranged a drug buy with 43-year-old Drae Shaun Broadnax. The suspect fled from a high-risk traffic stop before abandoning his vehicle with a female passenger still inside. A search of the vehicle ultimately revealed 56.4 grams of methamphetamine, 7.5 grams of cocaine, 5.3 grams of marijuana, and substantial cash including $1,896 from the woman.

This police bodycam footage highlights the methodical evidence recovery process that follows vehicle pursuits in drug trafficking cases, demonstrating how thorough searches often yield substantial narcotics evidence that transforms routine stops into significant distribution charges.
