Arkansas Trooper Joins Dangerous Headlights-Off Honda Pilot Chase on I-555

According to the official Arkansas State Police report, Trooper Victor Garcia was advised that a red 2007 Honda Pilot was fleeing northbound on I-555. Dispatch also reported an unusual and dangerous detail: the driver had allegedly turned off the vehicle’s headlights while continuing down the interstate. Trooper Garcia positioned himself near the Poinsett County and Craighead County line as the pursuit approached. A Marion Police Department unit was directly behind the Honda when it passed his location, and Garcia quickly joined the chase. Garcia caught up near Mile Marker 35 and moved into position for a Tactical Vehicle Intervention as officers attempted to bring the pursuit under control.
