According to the official Arkansas State Police report, Trooper Victor Garcia was advised that a red 2007 Honda Pilot was fleeing northbound on I-555. Dispatch also reported an unusual and dangerous detail: the driver had allegedly turned off the vehicle’s headlights while continuing down the interstate. Trooper Garcia positioned himself near the Poinsett County and Craighead County line as the pursuit approached. A Marion Police Department unit was directly behind the Honda when it passed his location, and Garcia quickly joined the chase.
